The Shadows of Knight, www.shadowsofknight.com/ - saw them Oct 25 2006 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta.  They are from my hometown of Arlington Heights, Ill - they had a big hit with Gloria; a true garage band that covered a number of blues tunes and turned them into Rock and Roll songs.  Gloria is one of the first songs I ever learned to play on guitar and have been playing it ever since.
